33 But Peter[a] said to him, “Lord, I am ready to go with you both to prison and to death!”[b] 34 Jesus replied,[c] “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crow[d] today until you have denied[e] three times that you know me.”
35 Then[f] Jesus[g] said to them, “When I sent you out with no money bag,[h] or traveler’s bag,[i] or sandals, you didn’t lack[j] anything, did you?” They replied,[k] “Nothing.”
